While I was mouthing off about having a domain to present oneself to potential clients/people with, I got reminded that I had a blog here on blogger. So, instead of speaking first and learning later (something I do frequently) I'll put a bit more effort into seeing what the benefits of blogging via one's account here can have.
The obvious is that it's free. I can agrue that you don't get ownership of your content, but I've posted volumes of info to my @chiropractic account on twitter, and I have not complained about that in the least.
That's all, I'll make plans to do some posting and then share what I've learned.
Peace.

Setting up Network Web Site
Seems like the natural thing to do after moving domains is setting up a new web site. Just finished installing a new chiropractic blog that will provide a place to keep track of all Planet Chiropractic Network information. It's not like an ordinary blog with traditional posts, but more about the backend info on what's going on.
There we will cover things like network outages, issues with classified administration system, fix-it tools for the seminar and continuing education network, technical info about various RSS feeds, and general site ticket and repair information.
The staff has been doing a spectacular job on site upgrades. Looking forward to the releases coming this summer.

Moving Domains
Been working on moving Planet Chiropractic related domains to some new server setups today. Updated DNS and registrar info and getting ready for planning stages on the latest planetchiropractic(.net) site launch.
Been desiring to build a simple interface that lets others move across various PC owned properties and find what they want quickly. Kind of like a fancy, image mapped, sitemap. More news to come...

Reading up on the Cult of Mac
Geek culture is fascinating. I'm reading up on the Cult of Mac on doing some research on brand communities. That's all for now.

Preparation for Yosemite National Park
Spent the day today preparing some things for a trip to Yosemite National Park in California later this week. I'm planning on getting plenty of hiking done and want to take a ginormous amount of photographs.
Have to pack up the laptop and some extra memory cards for the camera, as well as the charger, going to be a fun trip.
May or may not visit some chiropractic offices along the way. Will be passing through Santa Clarita, Bakersfield, Fresno, and maybe even Palmdale and Lancaster on the return trip.
Road trips can be lots of fun!

Guerrilla Marketing Post about Business Cards
Did a post tonight about some unique business cards I received from a chiropractic office in Lancaster. They were not your typical kinds of business cards. Each one folded up and there was a different simple message on the front of each card.
Inside cards there were, I guess what you could call, affirmations, or advice. Thought they were really cool.

9 Years of Posts on the Horizon
Amazing that I've been posting fresh content daily for 9 years (it's been longer but not all in one place) as of June 21st.
The Planet Chirpractic site launched news in December of 1998 but I had done the programing and pulled the old scripts and post when the June 1999 version went live.
Did not think much about archiving back then but at least I had the thought to archive from that day forward.
No count on how many posts have been made but I can say my ability to compile a piece for the news has improved much over the past 3270+ days.
